Shelf Stories That Survive the First Reset
Launch facings often collapse after the first merchandiser pass. Here is how to write shelf stories that field teams can rebuild under time pressure.
Most launch shelf stories fail not at concept but at the first overnight reset. When a merchandiser has eight minutes and a half-full case, the vertical brand block, hero SKU, and supporting sizes need a rebuild order that fits muscle memory.
Write the story as a sequence: hero facing count, left-to-right size ladder, and where wobblers attach without blocking barcodes. Include a one-photo reference that matches the lighting of a typical Thai hypermarket—cooler fluorescents, not studio softboxes.
If the assortment includes seasonal variants, mark which facings are sacrificial when stock runs thin. Protecting every facing equally usually means none of them stay intact.
